We may have lost a few sorts on the Street of late, with the departure of Brett Tucker and Ty Harper and with James Sorenson due to leave in April. However, Neighbours’ will be adding some more eye-candy to the street when Erinsborough High get’s a hunky new principal to replace Dan.

NIDA trained actor Sandy Winton will join the cast as Erinsborough High’s new principal Micheal Williams and the single Dad of a rebellious and conniving teenager played by newcomer Valentina Novakovic.

The seasoned actor has had roles in many dramas including the much anticipated and mega expensive American produced series, The Pacific. He spent two weeks in the Daintree Rainforest at a ‘boot camp’ with a dozen other Australian actors under the tutelage of ex-Marine Corps Sergeant Dale Dye.

While Winton describes spending two weeks in a rainforest handling massive amounts of armoury and speaking with an American accent as one of the toughest experiences he's ever had, but admits that playing Erinsborough's hunky new single Dad might prove to be just as challenging. But he's up to the task nonetheless, saying the Neighbours' character might give him some insight into what lies ahead for him with his own daughter, 3-year-old Millie.

So. who’s heart is this hot new single Daddy going to capture on the Street?
