Did you know that Neighbours is shown to millions of people all over the world and has just been sold to Vietnam? I’d love to see how it goes down there.
While I was away Pippa Black filmed her last scenes which I caught up with on my return. They are lovely episodes and I hope you like them. Also they were filming the last few episodes to be screened on air this year. It was at the beach and it was blowing a gale and raining. And it’s supposed to be summer! The actors and crew had it tough so it’s not all about glamour you know.
I hoped you liked the guest appearance of Lily Allen. She was such a great girl and loved being on Ramsay Street. We’ve also started Kate Ramsay’s dance story which goes on for some time. Jason Coleman has been very, very helpful with this story. And he’s such a nice guy. The dance scenes were shot in his Ministry Of Dance with his dancers – they were great.
This week on air proves to be quite explosive. Lyn certainly is causing waves in the street and the Deb dating dramas continue. And Doctor Karl finds having fans can be more trouble than he thought – this story has interesting twists and turns so stay tuned!
Last week in studio poor James Sorenson (Declan Napier) broke his thumb and had to wear a hand brace. Remember when Eloise Mignon (Bridget) broke her ankle? We filmed scenes with her either sitting down or standing up against a wall – you never did see her walk about for weeks! Well, when these episodes go to air towards the end of the year try and see how James hides the cast. In one scene he puts his hand up the back of India’s jumper – very funny.
I hope guys are aware that several of the Neighbour's characters are part of the Twitter world. It's proving to be very popular and even the newspapers are picking up on it. Apparently it's a world first. So get on line and get twittering with your favourite Ramsay Street characters.
See below for some hopefully, helpful hints.
Until next time,
Susan Bower.

Actors/Extras.
For those of you interested in becoming an extra or acquiring an actors’ agent remember if you’re under 18 years of age you need written permission from a parent or guardian. You will also require a C.V and several photos – head shots. A short note about why you are interested in this line of work is very helpful. It’s also important to have an interview with a person from the Agency. A good relationship with the person who has your future in their hands is vital.
