The brave 13-year old has been fighting for her life since being diagnosed at birth with a serious heart condition. She has undergone countless operations and had many life-threatening scares, with her mum having to perform CPR many times to save her life.

Missing many weeks of school because of her condition, Madaleine is always cheered up by watching Neighbours, according to her mum Kirsty Florescu. So When the Woman’s Day Make My Day team heard about Maddie through the Starlight Children’s Foundation, which brightens the lives of seriously ill kids, they organised a special day for her, meeting her favourite TV stars from Neighbours.

According to Woman's Day Ryan Maloney is a Starlight Foundation Ambassador and took charge of Madaleine’s day on set, showing her and her family around.

“They’ve had such a great time today, which is fantastic,” Ryan Maloney said.

“Madaleine is a gorgeous girl and it’s been so nice to have her here.”

Madaleine and her family were given VIP treatment for a day on the set of Neighbours, where Madaleine met a lot of the Neighbours' cast. 

“It’s like a dream,” Madeleine said.

“The whole day has been amazing, and the cast have made Maddie feel so special,” says Kirsty. “I’m so glad she got her wish, she deserves it.”
