Paul decides to take legal action against Lyn for not sticking to her side of the deal to leave town. Toadie tells him to forget about the case because it’s too thin. Toadie warns Steph and Lyn that Paul is on the warpath, but accidentally reveals to Steph the true amount Lyn was paid by Paul to leave town. In an effort to get Steph to trust her again, Lyn promises she’ll return the money before she turns up on Paul’s doorstep with a threat of her own.
Donna refuses to come home until she finds James, makes it up to Elle and proves she’s a good person. She reveals she knows about Elle’s New York Chronicle job and the news shocks Lucas. As he and Elle struggle to communicate how much they mean to each other, Lucas shows his support for Donna. And when a woman at the local pub comes forward with information about James, Donna realises she’s not alone in her mistake.
Susan’s worried about Ringo’s vague behaviour. Once he returns from the country she decides to find out what he’s doing. When she catches Ringo being tutored by Libby, Susan’s upset to discover her tutoring wasn’t up to scratch.
Feeling indebted to Harry after his hard work to buy her dance classes, Kate’s at a loss as how to express her gratitude. She’s appalled when she realises Harry has got a crush on her nemesis, Amanda Fowler, but Sophie thinks setting Harry up with her is the perfect way for Kate to say thank you. Kate is reluctant, but she’s finally convinced to set up a Blueboard page for Harry and friend request Amanda as a way of figuring out if she’s interested. Unfortunately, it all goes horribly wrong.
Zeke goes into action to restore Harry’s reputation at school. It works, but Kate remains determined to get Amanda back for her cruelty. With Donna’s help, Kate gets Amanda pushed off the Deb planning committee, but Amanda vows even harsher revenge. Kate’s stunned when Harry reveals Amanda’s asked him to the Deb. Harry’s thrilled, but Kate knows Amanda’s planning to get at her by hurting her brother. She tries to warn Harry, but he’s excited to have the attentions of the hottest girl in school, and refuses to listen. Harry’s confidence is shattered again when Amanda makes out with Kyle right in front of him.
Sunny’s proud she’s had her braces removed but her joy is shortlived, as details of Zeke’s romantic past with Taylah come to light. Feeling the lack of her own romantic experience, she goes searching for more information, and Toadie and Donna provide further details of Zeke’s numerous ex-girlfriends, making her feel even more insecure. When Zeke’s reluctant to discuss it, she ambushes him live on PirateNet. But the resulting on-air debate only leaves her feeling even more confused and hurt.
Since Sonya revealed that she’s a member of Gambler’s Anonymous, she’s failed to have any contact with Toadie. Encouraged by Steph, Toadie reaches out to Sonya and tells her that he doesn’t care about her past, he’d just like to have a future with her. Much to Toadie’s shock, Sonya rejects him because he’s not environmental enough. Toadie is now torn. Should he get environmental and sell his dream car? Or should he keep the car and forget about the girl? After much soul searching, Toadie decides that’s a relationship with Sonya is worth the sacrifice. But when she rejects him yet again, Toadie starts to suspect that there are bigger issues at play.
After discovering the extent of Zeke’s romantic past, Sunny’s worried that she’s nothing special. Zeke tries to tell her otherwise, but Sunny doesn’t quite believe him. To convince her once and for all, Zeke dedicates an entire PirateNet program to proving how much he cares.
A present arrives for ‘Dr Karl’ from Robin – Karl’s number one teenage fan. Initially, Karl and Susan find Robin’s fandom amusing, but when Robin wants to meet Karl in person to discuss her problems, Karl has to nip the infatuation in the bud. Unable to take no for an answer, Robin turns up on the Kennedy doorstep. It’s only then that Karl and Susan realise that Robin is a boy.
Just as Libby and Dan are about to buy Steph’s old house and are looking forward to a future together, Sam rings and throws their lives into turmoil. Can Libby learn to accept Dan’s strong sense of responsibility?
Elle ignores Paul’s advice to sell the garage to solve her financial woes and puts Harold’s Store on the market instead. She gets a good offer from Apollo’s, a multi-national chain of coffee houses. When eavesdropping Lyn deliberately feeds the news to Kate, Elle’s outraged employee organises a community-wide protest. Toadie makes a passionate speech urging Elle to protect Harold’s legacy. Even Rebecca joins the protest, standing defiant against Elle and Paul. Elle is forced to concede defeat and accepts a lower offer from a private buyer. The Ramsay Street residents rejoice… until the private buyer reveals herself.
Concerned when obsessed teenage fan Robin turns up on his doorstep, Karl gets tough and lays down some personal boundaries. Susan doesn’t think Robin is a bad kid, she just thinks he’s desperately lonely. Uncomfortable when Robin turns up to the Harold’s Store protest the next day, Karl encourages the boy to make friends with the Ramsay kids. Harry finds Robin’s eagerness disconcerting. Is the new kid as harmless as he seems?
Toadie impresses Sonya with his dedication to preventing the sale of Harold’s and she finally decides that Toadie is a man worth taking a chance on.
