Trying to protect his girlfriend, Ringo warns him off, but James goes to Donna: he’s leaving town, as his presence is causing trouble. When Donna learns that Ringo has been going behind her back, she gives him an ultimatum: either accept James, or they’re over.

Elle sees Lucas and Sonya chatting at the garage but Lucas is evasive about how he knows this attractive new woman. When Elle spots her again on Ramsay Street, she gets the inside scoop from Callum: Sonya is Rocky’s trainer, Toadie has a massive crush on her but it’s just not working. Elle accuses Lucas of seeing Sonya behind Toadie’s back. Lucas claims he’s only met Sonya once before but Elle knows he’s lying. Callum pushes Toadie into trailing Sonya to the park… only to witness a moment of intimacy between her and Lucas.

Ringo remains suspicious of James, even when the other teens are won over by his easy-going and seemingly honest nature. Wanting only to protect Donna, Ringo soon realises that his criticism is driving her further away and he concedes his support on one condition – that she asks James for a DNA test.

Secretly hoping to dance the night away at the Deb, Kate’s plans are thwarted when she learns Harry intends on going. He’s heard from Kyle that Deb balls are a great place to pick up girls. Kate’s attempt to dissuade Harry only results in an argument and she’s forced to confront Kyle and plead for him not to influence Harry any more. Kyle agrees but insists he’ll only stay away from Harry if Kate agrees to partner him. How desperate is Kate to keep Harry away from the Deb?

Too proud to accept help or apply for Special Consideration, Declan risks his VCE by not applying himself to his studies. When Rebecca returns from Fiji, Declan compromises his chance further by choosing to spend time with her and India rather than study.

Rebecca and Paul are shocked to discover Lyn hasn’t left town and is instead intending to stay ‘for a while’. Rebecca reveals Lyn’s blackmail attempt to Susan who questions her friend’s motives – until Lyn concedes she didn’t sign the divorce papers because Paul was rude to her. Rebecca and Paul force themselves to be nice, and when Lyn finally signs they hope they’ve seen the last of her. But when Lyn next emerges she’s out job hunting. Pinned into a corner, how far will desperate Rebecca go to get rid of Lyn?

Declan’s faced with his Biology exam and pays the price for not studying — he knows none of it. Figuring Bridget’s still at the forefront of his mind, Dan insists that they put in for special consideration to ensure Declan doesn’t get a ‘fail’, but Declan feels he’s let Bridget down by being lazy, and now he’s using her as an excuse.  Will he come clean and accept the consequences?

Kate reveals that she gave up her dance dreams because her mother couldn’t afford to pay for them. Harry’s constant ribbing didn’t help either. Harry takes a job at the gym in the hope of helping to pay for dance classes but Kate insists she’s done with dance. Harry tries to force Kate’s hand by telling the entire class that Kate has agreed to teach the Deb to dance. Will Harry convince her to pursue her dream again?

Lyn is devastated by the article about her in the Erinsborough News and Susan is rocked that Rebecca has stooped to Paul-like behaviour. Rebecca’s concern that she’s gone too far is confirmed when she discovers the story has stopped Lyn getting the loan she needed to move back to Shelley Bay and that she will now be staying in town indefinitely. Guilty and ashamed of her role in the article, Rebecca offers to bury the hatchet and a seemingly compliant Lyn agrees. But when it is revealed that Steph has bought the Parker house for her mother to live in Rebecca discovers the painful truth – that Lyn has no intention of abiding by their ceasefire. What can Paul and Rebecca do now?

Susan and Karl decide they need to find out what’s really going on between Zeke and Sunny. After an acutely embarrassing conversation about hens and roosters with Susan, Sunny assumes that Zeke told Susan that their relationship was (or was about to become) physical. Zeke vehemently denies this and the pair come to realise that they’re happy just the way they are. But Sunny’s parents still loom as a threat – especially after Karl decides they need to be told about Zeke returning to live under the same roof as their daughter. How will they take the news?

Donna and James’s DNA test results are inconclusive and James explains there’s a more complicated – and more expensive – test that could give them a definitive answer. Desperate to confirm James is her brother, Donna agrees. James and Lucas have a run in, causing Lucas to doubt that James is who he claims to be, and he shares his concerns with Elle. Meanwhile, Donna tries everything she can think of to make the money she needs, but realises her situation is hopeless. She reluctantly asks Elle for another loan, but mindful of Lucas’ doubts about James, Elle refuses. How desperate is Donna to take this test?

Ben and Callum have left organising Father’s Day presents til the last minute. When their efforts to cook a special breakfast fall flat, they redouble their efforts to earn money for gifts. They prove to be a successful busking duo, but realise orphan Sophie is upset at having no Dad to celebrate with. They decide to use the money they’ve made to cheer her up instead.

Steph discovers Lyn has left by way of a note. The poor warning doesn’t sit right with Steph and she challenges Elle, fearing the Robinsons may have something to do with Lyn’s absence. But Elle reveals Paul paid Lyn to leave town and Steph feels betrayed that her Mum’s kept the truth from her.
