Dan’s furious that Karl’s taken their story to the paper, however Libby is moved when she finds out he’s been suspended, and put his job on the line for her. Toadie also has reservations, he’s worried the IVF fight will tear the family he loves apart, a legal battle will cost a small fortune, even at mate’s rates. But Libby’s determined, she’s going ahead with or without Toadie’s help.
Later, Toadie realises the fight might be bringing the Kennedy’s together rather than tear them apart and he decides to take the case on. However, in front of the hospital board his emotional involvement causes him to stumble and he makes the situation even worse, causing Libby to fire him from the case.
Meanwhile, Susan brings out their old friend - the blue box, in an effort to cheer Karl up. However, it’s not ‘their’ blue box! Susan remembers clearning out the wardrobe for the fund raiser, maybe it's been sold? Susan realises nobody will know who the blue box belongs to until Karl reminds her the box had photos of them inside!
Finally, Tadpole comes home and everyone celebrates the new arrival. Bridget loves the room Steve has set up for Tadpole, but is overcome by the need to find a name for her child and seeks outside for inspiration, but to no avail. Finally, by looking to her hopes for the future, Bridget and Declan find a name that is perfect.
