Prompted by the changes to the play, Donna seeks character information from Steph. Although Steph is challenged by the confronting questions about her relationship with Toadie, Donna finds her attitude empowering. However, Donna’s world comes crashing down when she finally learns about Paul’s arrest and she fears that she’s becoming a burden on Elle.
Inspired by Steph’s apparent strength, inexperienced Donna decides to go for a spin on Steph’s bike… is this going to end in disaster? Steph’s easy friendships with the men of Ramsay Street pique Greg’s jealousy and insecurity. Although assured by Steph that he has nothing to worry about, Greg can’t control his insecurities and embarrasses Steph at Toadie’s pool party by publically accusing her of fooling around. After being unable to establish trust with the Ramsay kids, Susan enlists the counselling expertise of Dan. Connecting with Harry through basketball, Dan earns his trust. Ringo enlists Sunny to keep the lie going, and Zeke - overhearing what seems to be a passionate declaration of love between Ringo and Sunny - fears the worst. But learning the truth doesn’t make Zeke feel any better - how can Sunny be so passionate on someone else’s behalf, when she’s so shy with him? So Zeke insists on a deal; he’ll keep Ringo’s secret if he gets to read any further letters Sunny writes for Donna. Are Sunny and Zeke in trouble? And what will Donna do if she finds those glorious heart-stopping letters weren’t actually written by Ringo?
Steph and Greg argue over whether or not Steph’s tactile friendships with men, especially Lucas, are appropriate. Steph seeks a friendly ear from Toadie but he pushes Steph to sort out her problems for herself. When Greg tries to make Steph understand the jealousy he feels, Steph realises that she’s not prepared to change in order to save her relationship.
Both Steve and Miranda invite Bridget for dinner on the same night and Bridget accepts both invitations. Not wanting to let either of them down and hoping that her parents still love each other, Bridget sets them up by arranging their dinners to both take place in Charlie’s. But Bridget’s plan to bring Miranda and Steve back together comes undone when Steve makes an announcement that threatens to change the Parker family forever.
Lou makes the front page of the newspaper and becomes a minor celebrity. He enjoys the attention until an old flame slaps him with a curse.
