Coleman said he is "stocked to be involved in Neighbours. I’m a fan of popular culture and Neighbours is an institution in this country.”
"I’ve played bit parts on E Street, GP and Water Rats, so I’m not daunted to turn up and play myself,” he said.
Coleman will begin filming at the end of June and will appear in four episodes that will air in October.
