During his final year at high school, James was cast in his first major role in the feature film, Hating Allison Ashley. He went onto make guest appearances in several children’s programs and then in 2005, a lead role in the Logie nominated children’s drama series, Blue Water High.
In 2007, James, now 22, joined the cast of Neighbours as wild child, Declan Napier. “Declan is a great character because his heart is in the right place, but he just can’t stay out of trouble. Plus he has the sexist TV mum, Jane Hall” said James.
Fitness is still high on James' list of interests along with his CD and DVD collection, photography, cars, travel and the piano which he began playing when he was four. James was born and raised in Melbourne, and has a twin sister.
James is half Danish and half Portuguese.
